DIRECTIONS:
Refer to flooring manufacturer’s specific recommendations for installing over HENRY 547. Condition the area to be installed, underlayment, adhesive and flooring between 65°F (18°C) and 90°F (32°C) for 48 hours before, during and 48 hours after installation. Floor must be sound, smooth, dry, clean and free of excessive moisture or alkali. Remove dirt, wax, loose paint and all other foreign matter that would interfere with a good bond such as curing agents and sealers. Over very porous substrates, dampen with clean water before installation.

PATCHING, LEVELING OR SKIM COATING:

• Mix 3 parts powder to 1 part water in a clean container to a lump-free consistency.
  
• For increased flexural strength and bond over wood, metal or concrete, mix 2-1/2 parts powder to 1 part HENRY 546 Feather Edge Additive. DO NOT add water when using HENRY 547 with 546. Must mix with HENRY 546 Feather Edge Additive when skim coating metal and wood underlayments.
  
• Pot life is 12-20 minutes at 73°F (23°C), and can be extended by reworking onetime. DO NOT add additional water.
  
• Use a smooth-edge trowel, and spread underlayment within 20 minutes.
  
• Apply in single layers from featheredge to 1/2" thick, and allow complete drying of each layer. Maximum thickness should not exceed 1".
  
• Before covering with flooring, let underlayment dry completely, approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours depending on thickness and atmospheric conditions. COVERING EXISTING “CUTBACK” ADHESIVE RESIDUE:
  
• Remove all ridges and high spots so all that remains is a thin, smooth film.
  
• Mix 3 parts powder to 1 part water in a clean container to a lump-free consistency.
  
• Use a 1/8" x 1/8" x 1/8" square notch trowel, and trowel underlayment within 20 minutes.
  
• Let underlayment dry completely.
  
• Mix more underlayment as stated above.
  
• Use a smooth-edge trowel to fill in the recessed areas within 20 minutes. Maximum thickness should not exceed 1/8".
  
• Before covering with flooring, let underlayment dry completely, approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours depending on thickness and atmospheric conditions.
  
• EMBOSSING LEVELER: Mix 2-1/2 parts powder to 1 part HENRY 546 Feather Edge Additive in a clean container to a lump-free consistency.
  
• Pot life is 14-20 minutes at 73°F (23°C).
  
• Use a smooth-edge trowel, and spread embossing leveler within 25 minutes.
  
• Before covering with flooring, let underlayment dry completely, approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours depending on thickness and atmospheric conditions. NOTE: When used to patch, level or skim coat: stirring will help extend pot life.
