INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

PREPARATION
PREPARATION
• Read installation instructions and MSDS thoroughly prior to installation.
• All surfaces must be sound, smooth, dry, clean, free of excess moisture and alkali. Remove dirt, wax, loose paint and all foreign matter that would interfere with a good bond, such as curing agents and sealers. Condition the area to be installed, adhesive and flooring at 65°F (18°C) or above for 48 hours before, during and 48 hours after installation.
• Refer to the flooring manufacturer’s specific recommendations for subfloor preparations.
• Always run a calcium chloride and alkali test over concrete on any grade level. For accurate results, curing agents must be removed in areas where tests will be run. Moisture test results should meet the flooring manufacturer’s recommendations, but should not exceed 3 lbs./1000 sq.ft/24 hrs., as determined by the calcium chloride moisture test (ASTM-F -1869).
Alkali readings should be 5 to 9.

INSTALLATION:
• Stir any liquid on the surface into the adhesive and full spread adhesive using recommended trowel.
POROUS SUBSTRATES
• Spread adhesive evenly on the substrate with a 1/16” x 1/16” x 1/16” Square-notched trowel. Allow adhesive to remain open about 15-25 minutes. Working time over concrete, up to 90 minutes depending on temperature and humidity during installation. Roll flooring material with a 75-100 lb. roller or flooring manufacturer's recommended roller across width and length.
NON-POROUS SUBSTRATES
• Spread adhesive evenly on substrate using a1/32"D x 1/16"W x 5/64"A U-notch trowel.Allow adhesive to dry for approximately 30-40minutes, depending on temperature and humidityconditions. Working time up to 2 hours,depending on temperature and humidityconditions. Roll flooring material with a 75-100lb. roller or flooring manufacturer's recommended roller across width and length.
NOTE: Avoid traffic for 12 hours after installation.

CLEANUP:

  • Wet Adhesive: Clean, white cloth dampened with soapy water.
  • Dried Adhesive: Clean, white cloth dampened with mineral spirits; carefully following warnings on the container.
